Position Summary: 
As a Production Worker I, you will be responsible to ensure the accurate and safe handling of materials and completion of other duties required to effectively operate in a high-volume, fast paced production environment.  Your overall goal is help ensure our customers receive accurate, high quality product on time, as ordered, and to enable other  Team Members to operate production smoothly and without interruption whenever possible, to maximize the amount of time that product is being repacked, enable the pumps to keep  running and to make sure we have the available tote/tank space to effectively and efficiently receive bulk offloads flawlessly.  Responsible to consistently role model our Core Values.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect totes and drums prior to filling to ensure they are clean and ready for packing.

  • Performs 3-way match with labels, headers, and tanks while hooking up hoses to meters and skid pumps to avoid product mixes.

  • Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product.

  • Learns the basics of the product groups we stock and understand what products go through which meters, hoses, and pumps.

  • Learns when flushes and purges are required and when products are incompatible.

  • Fills drums and totes from both Tank Farm B and Tank Farm A. This requires learning how to operate the meters inside for TFB and the skid pumps for TFA.

  • Safely operates forklift and electric pallet jacks to load and unload trailers and move totes and pallets around the facility.

  • Accurately fills out tote transfer logs while filling totes and drums and preparing products for shipping.

  • Takes samples of products being filled and accurately fill out sample bottle labels with the correct product information.

  • Drains water from Tank Farm A and B containment basins.

  • Files and assembles Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) totes and drums.

  • General Warehouse cleaning and upkeep.

  • Helps in pail production while learning process

  • Other duties assigned by manager

  • This position has been designated as a Safety Sensitive Position. This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing, as well as random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. The results of this testing will be a condition of employment

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1 - 3 years of general work experience required.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required for safety and accurate completion of job responsibilities.

  • Ability to read and understand hazardous communication symbols and respond appropriately.

  • Solid math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using. whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals accurately.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 1+ years of production experience preferred.

Equipment and Software Requirements:

  • Certified forklift operator (or required within 3 months of hire date)

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) a plus.
