Position Summary:

Ensure the accurate and safe handling of materials and completion of other duties required to effectively operate in a high-volume and fast paced distribution environment.  Responsible to consistently role model our Core Values.

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing general warehousing duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment

  • Maintain orderly, clean work environment in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements

  • Operate industrial power equipment in a safe manner

  • Storing and stacking materials according to company standards

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures

  • Regular bending, kneeling, lifting of 60+ pounds, and climbing steps and ladders

  • Transfers materials and items from receiving dock to bin location or other designated area by hand, hand truck, forklift or other industrial powered truck

  • Assembles and prepares customer orders for shipping and loads the order onto trailers

  • Assists other warehouse workers in completing tasks as required

  • Perform complex data entry transactions utilizing provided software and hardware

  • Accurately execute inventory functions/processes as assigned

  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer

  • Identifies damaged products and takes appropriate action when discovered

  • Properly prepares, handles, and maintains all required documentation

  • Trains others in warehouse functions, processes, housekeeping requirements, and safety protocols

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager

Job requirements

  • Must be highly organized with strong ability to multi-task

  • This position has been designated as a Safety Sensitive Position. This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing, as well as random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. The results of this testing will be a condition of employment

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience required

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • +6 years of warehousing experience preferred

  • +3 years of transacting data in WMS or ERP systems preferred

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:

  • Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product required

  • Forklift certification is a plus

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
