Position Summary: 

As a Mobile Fleet Mechanic Specialist, you will perform a variety of technical and mechanical services including but not limited to: preventive maintenance, general maintenance, cleaning, fabrication,, inspections, and specialty related work of company owned equipment. Services will be performed on location and on the road in response to roadside needs. Responsible to consistently role model our Core Values.

 

Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventive maintenance on company equipment.

  • Performs general maintenance on company equipment.

  • Performs repair that may continue for multiple days.

  • Ability to continue repairs at a point where another shift may have left off.

  • The ability to travel for work

  • Cleans company equipment and facility.

  • Fabrication of tools, parts, and equipment use for operations in the company.

  • Familiarizes self with equipment in the company to have ability to trouble shoot issues.

  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace.

  • Attends training as prescribed by management to maintains job proficiency.

  • Uses equipment and resources safely and proficiently.

  • Performs other tasks as requested by Management.

  • Responds to roadside needs and issues to keep fleet moving.

  • Performs onsite and mobile meter calibrations, Cargo Tank Testing, Coast Guard Pump work,  Samsara Installation and repair, equipment preventative maintenance, forklift services, and special project installations, in accordance with equipment requirements.

  • Monitors regulations and preventative maintenance schedules for mobile Cargo Tank Testing, Coast Guard Pump work,  Samsara Installation and repair, equipment preventative maintenance, forklift services

  • This position has been designated as a Safety Sensitive Position. This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing, as well as random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. The results of this testing will be a condition of employment.

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Clean driving record required

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement is a plus.

  • Knowledge of W+F:

    • equipment

    • Fleet Mechanic roles

  • Cargo Tank testing

 

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations (Required):

  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card

  • Coast Guard pump certifications

  • Coast Guard hose testing

  • UN Testing for IBC/PT

  • Fabrication

  • FMCSA Regulations

 

Equipment and Software Requirements:

  • Provide and maintain own general tools to perform daily task.
